I love growing broad beans for seed saving as well as eating them young. Once the crop is finished, we dig the plant back into the veggie beds to add nitrogen back into the soil. I like to tie these up and protect from wind once they’re big enough. They’re so easy and fun to grow. I sow in Winter for a fabulous Spring show off off flowers. They can be sown in Autumn and Spring also, sow about 2-3 cm deep and about 25cm apart. You won’t be disappointed with this crop.
